“Experience is a measure only of how many times one has tried a thing. Intelligence is the measure of how likely one is to get it right” – Warren Falk
It is common procedure for a man to be hired based on the duration of his experience. However, even he who does a job wrong for many years acquires experience. The intelligent learn and are a wiser investment.
In addition, a man’s experience is often measured by the length of his resume, but this is also foolish. The length of a resume may easily be a measure of how quickly one can wear out his welcome, or how long he is able to maintain an illusion of competency.
